Jennifer worked as the school-based occupational therapist for Malibu’s public schools from 2009-2013. She often encountered students who were in need of OT support, but did not qualify for services due to strict assessment standards. Because of district policies, she couldn’t refer them to private OT services either. Frustrated by her inability to help these students, Jennifer set out to start her own practice- MOST Kids OT.
In 2013, Jennifer launched MOST, initially working out of a small space at a local Malibu preschool. Her early clients included well-known actors and musicians who appreciated her expertise, and saw firsthand how their children’s skills improved. As demand grew, MOST opened its first sensory gym on Pacific Coast Highway in central Malibu. Despite challenges like the Malibu Fires and COVID-19, MOST continues to thrive, offering high-quality occupational therapy to children throughout Los Angeles.
At Most Global, our vision is to create a world where every child has access to occupational therapy, regardless of their location or resources. The next steps for our nonprofit include expanding outreach to underserved communities globally, providing direct training to schools, and building partnerships with educators and healthcare professionals. By planting the seeds of OT knowledge, we hope to foster long-lasting change and equip communities with the tools to support their children’s growth and well-being.
